Some of the most advanced technology offered by the lung center includes:
- Thoracic MRI
- High resolution CT scans
- Interventional radiology
- Video assisted thorascopic surgery (VATS)
- Advanced thoracic surgery
- EBUS – The Coliseum Cancer Center is the first facility in the area to implement Endobronchial Ultra Sound (EBUS). EBUS is a lung cancer diagnosis technique allowing CT surgeons and pulmonologists to diagnose lung cancer by visualizing lymph nodes and surrounding vessels in real-time, via ultrasound, while simultaneously viewing the endoscopic image. It is a minimally invasive procedure that has proven highly effective. Patients recover quickly and generally go home on the same day of the procedure.
