Frank M Arnold, MD

General Surgery
Frank Arnold MD, is a board certified general surgeon and is part of Coliseum Surgical Specialists on the campus of Coliseum Medical Centers. Dr. Arnold received his bachelor's degree from Mercer University and completed his medical school training and residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He began practicing at Coliseum Medical Centers in 1985 and has been a leader in the surgical services program at Coliseum Medical Centers, serving as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery during his tenure. With more than 30 years as a practicing surgeon, Dr. Arnold's wealth of knowledge and surgical expertise is unsurpassed in Macon. He chose medicine largely because of his father's influence. His father was a small town general practitioner who was highly skilled and respected. Once Dr. Arnold was exposed to surgery during medical school, the choice was easy. It was the perfect fit. Dr. Arnold is passionate about surgery because it provides him the opportunity to help others. Many times a significant problem can be addressed rather quickly and completely with surgery, and this is gratifying. Dr. Arnold's patients should know that they will be respected, and everything that can be done to help them will be done. He frequently treats breast disease, benign and malignant, as well as all disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Arnold is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was a member of Georgia Surgical Society, Macon Surgical Society, Bibb County Medical Society and the Medical Association of Georgia. In his spare time, Dr. Arnold loves to be with family and friends, particularly his three grandchildren. He is an avid sports fan and avid golfer.
