All Nursing Areas:
In an effort to provide the best care for all our patients and staff, we are asking that any visitor who is experiencing cold and flu-like symptoms refrain from visiting patients within the facility.
Children under 12 years of age are discouraged from visiting patients during the flu season. However, there are extenuating circumstances and in these circumstances, the family members and/or the patient should inform the unit director or unit leadership of their request for a child’s visitation.
At this point, Guest Services should be notified by unit leadership and the family should present to the main lobby and give their names upon arrival. Guest Services will then issue a special armband to display approval by leadership for the visitation. Excellent communication and consistency with policy parameters will help ensure patient and family satisfaction.
Post-Partum ONLY – Siblings only (any age) of a newborn are welcome to visit their family in the patient’s room, as long as they are not experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.
These visitation guidelines are for the safety, comfort and well-being of our patients, as well as staff.
