Macon, GA – Coliseum Health System has two wonderful community events happening on Saturday, August 16th in Macon.
Feel It In Your Bones: The annual Orthopaedic and Spine Fair at Coliseum Northside Hospital is back! If you have joint pain, whether caused by traumatic injury, sports injury, chronic or degenerative disease or a congenital condition, the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute at Coliseum Northside Hospital offers a full range of orthopaedic services from surgery to rehabilitation. Join us from for an Orthopaedic and Spine Health Fair on Saturday, August 16, 8:00am - 12:00pm at Coliseum Northside Hospital, 400 Charter Blvd, Macon GA.
The event is free and will feature a variety of physician-led seminars throughout the morning. Seminar topics will include: “What a Pain in the Neck (and Back)!” with Dr. Wayne Kelley; “Lets Fix Your Feet” with Dr. Kevin Moore; “Eliminating Knee Pain” with Dr. William Barnes, and “Is It Time for Hip Surgery” with Dr. Wood Pope. Free screenings including bone densitometry and balance and movement will also be available throughout the morning. 26th Annual NICU Birthday Celebration: Babies are delicate and require extra care when problems arise, especially newborns. Each year, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Coliseum Medical Centers gives that necessary extra care to hundreds of babies including those who are premature and born with illness or complications. This year the NICU unit will hold its 26th Annual Birthday Party to celebrate the lives of the many children who have passed through our doors. The event is open to young patients, their parents and siblings. This year the event will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. at Central City Park, Shed #2. In addition to food and prizes there will also be a waterslide so don't forget to bring some extra clothes. For more information call (478) 765-4132.
