At Coliseum Health System, our focus is quality care for all of our patients. We know that caring for elderly patients requires a different kind of attention. We ensure the most comfortable stay and improved care for our patients and visitors. Our job is to ease the physical and mental transitions or our clients – not to mention the transition in family relationships. Our goal is to make our senior patients feel at ease during their hospital stay and ensure the transition from the hospital is a smooth one.
“We are committed to improving the quality of life for our area’s adult and senior population. In pursuit of this goal, we will strive to offer quality medical and psychiatric care that meets individual needs and focuses on total patient care.”
Coliseum’s Speakers’ Bureau is a free community service provided to senior residential facilities, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and independent living communities. Speakers include physicians, nurses, dietitians and other health care experts, who provide information on a variety of health care specialties. Presentations vary in length from 30 minutes to one hour. The format can be a lecture, question/answer or discussion. Presentations can be tailored to meet your group’s needs and can be for the residents or the staff.
The Senior Center at Coliseum Center for Behavioral Health offers hope to those 65 years and older who are experiencing serious emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. Our team of professional experts is devoted to meeting the needs of patients and their families in a dignified and respectful environment.
Senior services include many things from intensive care to full rehabilitation. When we treat a patient, we treat the whole person from start to finish, wherever that finish may take him or her. We are constantly communicating with a patient’s home care provider or his or her family to better coordinate treatment following hospitalization.
