Volunteers play a very important role at Coliseum Health System by helping us to provide high quality, cost effective healthcare to the Coliseum Medical Centers and Macon Northside Hospital community. They do this a number of ways:
- Augmenting and expanding the services provided by our staff.
- Providing supplemental services which contribute to patient care and satisfaction.
- Assisting non-patient care departments with clerical support.
- Helping to spread the word about the good things happening at our two facilities within the community.
For information on volunteering, please call 478-765-4116 (Coliseum Medical Centers) or 478-757-6091 (Coliseum Northside Hospital).
The Volunteer Program at Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital is committed to the professional development of healthcare students. To assist healthcare students in their quest to become healthcare professionals, the Volunteers award scholarships of $1,000 to deserving graduating high school seniors or post-secondary students pursuing a career in healthcare. These students may be aspiring nurses, health occupation professionals as well as those interested in healthcare administration.
