Macon, GA– The 9thAnnual Coliseum Health System’s Rock ‘N RollMan Race Series will be tomorrow, Saturday, June 2, 2012 starting at 7:00 AM @ Sandy Beach Park, Lake Tobesofkee in Macon, Georgia. The race is expected to draw 800 to 1000 athletes from all over the U.S. as well as 2,000+ spectators.
The Coliseum Health System’s Rock ‘N RollMan Half Iron Distance Triathlon is a half ironman distance triathlon. A USA Triathlon sanctioned event, it consists of three legs: a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run. Competitors will be competing for $4990, which will be distributed amongst the top five men and women. In addition to the half ironman distance triathlon, the race series features a Long Course Duathlon: a 5 kilometer run, followed by a 56 mile bike ride and ending in a 13.1 mile run; as well as a Sprint Distance Triathlon composed of a 750 meter swim, a 15 mile bike ride, and a 5 kilometer run. These additional events should bring about an eventful Saturday with more competitors and spectators than ever.
