Coliseum Educating the Public during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 09, 2012
Macon, GA - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a good time to learn more about breast cancer and how it can be prevented or best treated. Every two minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. However, because of earlier diagnoses and better treatment options, women with breast cancer in Macon are living longer lives than ever before. It’s estimated that more than 1,000 women in Georgia will die of breast cancer this year. This means that October could be the most important month of the rest of your life. Coliseum will offer a variety of free events during October to help educate and screen the public on breast cancer.
