Average ER Wait Times Available For Smartphones

Coliseum Health System & iTriage partner to provide greater patient access to medical & facility information.
Macon, GA – Coliseum Health System is using smartphone technology to give middle Georgia area patients immediate access to its ER Wait Times on iTriage® -- a smartphone medical application developed by Healthagen®. Area Smartphone users can download iTriage from the app store for the iPhone® and from the market for Android™ or access iTriage at www.iTriageHealth.com.
Healthagen developed the technology. By deploying the iTriage smartphone app, Coliseum Health System gives immediate access to detailed information about its hospital, including services offered, specialties, location map, classes, community programs and average ER wait times. With the introduction of this premier level of service, Coliseum Health System joins the growing number of hospitals across the country utilizing this interactive technology that allows consumers to search medical symptoms, learn about possible causes, and find appropriate locations for treatment. In addition, residents of middle Georgia now have a way to access Coliseum Health System hospitals’ average ER wait times from the palm of their hand.
Coliseum Health System facilities and Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia are the only hospitals in the area with the iTriage application.
This technology comes on the heels of the recent text messaging application for Emergency Room wait times (you can text “ER” to 23000 for up-to-the-minute wait times). “iTriage is a great addition to the technology we already have set in place. Not only can our community see ER wait times, but they can now access our website and other information about our facility on their handheld,” says Allen Golson, CEO, Coliseum Health System.
“By adopting this new wave of technology, Coliseum Health System becomes known as mobile healthcare solution leaders and also creates transparency around their emergency department wait times,” explained Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO, Healthagen.
